Since 2006 1000ha of the Arcadia forest has been logged (2006, 2012 and 2015). However, it’s all about to happen again. Another logging operation is planned for 2016 in one of the most eco-sensitive areas which is home to a small population of mainland quokka and Red and White Tailed Black Cockatoo. This logging operation will increase salinity run-off into the already salt affected Wellington Dam. Herbicide (glyphosate) will be used to poison numerous banksia and marri trees, the main source of food for cockatoos. #loggingataloss
